2022 GREAT NC TREE CONFERENCE

Last month a few of our Account and Operations Managers attended the North Carolina Urban Forest Council’s 2022 Great NC Tree Conference. They attended speakers and field training/learning sessions. These covered topics around proper planting and care for trees, specifically in urban areas. Specifics included guides for planting and managing trees around utility lines, choosing the correct trees for a space, pruning, as well as many others. Our team has brought back tons of knowledge that they can’t wait to share with our team and clients.

The NC Urban Forest Council is an organization which “advocates the sustainability of North Carolina’s urban forests through the use of economic, human, and environmental resources.” Since its beginnings in 2011 they have planted over 7,500 trees and in 2021 alone awarded 5 projects including the Alliance for Cape Fear Trees. In 2022 alone they are a part of the NC Community Tree Advocacy Network, are on the Board of Directors of the NC Green Industry Council, have awarded 7 Legacy Tree Fund grants, and many webinars and workshops. Such a great organization we are proud to be a part of!
